In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The narrative features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.

The questline focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
