After a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles offered in this deal.
The big draw is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.
An imaginative landscape chart created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.
The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.
The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.
Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle includes all the following:
All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, plus numerous additional tools and content enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get introductory guides to help you get started. The sole limitation though the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.
Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, but you can also select their donation amount on the right side of the page. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
